#tbt Old Single Panel Cartoon

Rummaging around looking for a way to procrastinate, I came across a small set of single-panel cartoons I called “Both of Me.” As I recall, they were loosely based on me and the smarter part of my brain that I depicted in the cartoons as a cat companion. So, maybe not so loosely.

Both of Me, from 1989, while I was in grad school studying landscape architecture and hadn't yet been introduced to the T-square.

Love and Honorable Mention

My piece “A Cartoonist Interprets Her Own Poetry” was given an honorable mention in the Hip Mama/Unchaste Readers 2015 writing contest. To bounce the love back out into the universe I made this from sketches I did while riding BART into Berkeley a few days back.

I love to draw on public transportation, since the bumpiness keeps things loose and people do interesting things.
